For clients that have a large presence in Canada, it's important to monitor the performance of the site north of the border1 vote
Thanks for the input. We are always evaluating new locations to add, and the idea exchange is a great way for our customers to tell us and vote for new locations to we can understand the priority.
We would like to have sort order control of reports sent via email. In particular we would set and save a reports sort order on "Max Response Time" column Largest to Smallest so each report will be received sorted in this manner.2 votes
I can see how this would be helpful. Moving to under review as a good use case
Sometimes our sites target different content based on GEO IP. I'd like to have an option to Ignore a Step in the Real Browser check if the Step fails. This way I don't have to have multiple custom checks for the same site that may display different content.4 votes
I can see how that would be helpful. Considering how to do this while still allowing the checks to be meaningful
One of my stakeholders asked if he could see his particular sites when logging in. I told him to bookmark the relevant status page. It would be great if I could designate a "landing page" for his account that would display upon login.2 votes
This is an interesting use case I hadn’t consider before Jeff. Thanks for sharing it. “Moving to under review”
Allow custom performance measurements based on element/request. This would allow measuring page load up until different points. This could be useful to see certain performance across all runs.1 vote
Our solution to this will be to support the W3C custom user timings. So you can drop pins and take measurements of basically anything. We also need to do this to support Single Page Apps. We are currently in the planning phase.

Add the ability to re-upload a Selenium script for an existing Real Browser Check. In some instances, this would be faster than editing existing steps.22 votes
Totally agree. Merging with another idea which is a duplicate of this
I would like to remain on the Checks->Overview page when deleting a check and not be redirected to another page upon confirming.1 vote
It's great that we include green arrows or red arrows in email reports to indicate change in performance. It would be even better if we also included the percentage change, so it would be easier to see if there was a big difference from previous days.3 votes
Love this idea Melanie. A clear, obvious usability win
It's great that we can customize notifications based on location-specific errors; let's add the same functionality for alerts and make sure that users have the option to keep location-specific problems from affecting uptime stats.8 votes
We do have a way in the app to compute what we call SLA uptime, which specifically only flags downtime if 2 or more failures occur in a row, helping reduce the impact of a bad location.
Reaching out to Melanie with some clarifying questions
It would be neat if we could sort waterfall charts by the largest file size, content types, etc.2 votes
Thanks for the suggestion Melanie, I think it could help yes! Chrome Dev tools allows you to do this in their waterfall, and I personal use it fairly regularly. The entire HAR viewer could probably use a visual/usability upgrade. Moving to “under review”
Right now tags can only be applied / removed on a check-by-check basis. We should make it easy to add / remove tags in bulk by adding it as an option to our existing Bulk Change feature.3 votes
100% agree. This is the kind of thing needed when support large organizations with a large amount of checks.
We should add the ability to bulk add/remove tags via our bulk update functionality. Moving to “under review”
Right now we have the ability to bulk pause or mute checks in control groups, but sometimes you might want to pause or mute just one individual check.
We should allow a method for a command that can pause or mute a specific check via the API without creating a new control group.1 vote
100% agree. Control groups should be a short cut way to mute multiple checks, not the only option for muting checks. Thanks for the suggestion Melanie. Moving to “under review”
Current tag reports are based on daily rollups. It would be nice if users could easily see individual runs within smaller time frames on the tag report or have the option to create on the fly performance history reports based on tags.3 votes
I know inside the app, we should run-level metrics for a tag set under the “Dashboards”. Makes sense to apply this out to reports as well. Reaching out to Melanie to get some clarifying details.
Make monthly performance reports available for .csv export, with full data (not just daily rollups).23 votes
Thanks for the suggestion Duncan. This makes total sense. To be clear, with the Rigor API you can pull this data out now, but making it easier to fetch as a CSV would be very valuable. Reviewing options for this.
Right now we have the ability to customize the content of Rigor alert emails with email templates, but we don't have a way to customize SMS alert content.
It would be nice to have SMS templates, similar to email templates.1 vote
Something to consider as we look to revise our notification system
When a check comes back online, I'd like it to email a different address than the address that gets emailed when a check fails. Our checks email our 3rd party alerting tool, so when something fails and comes back online, the "all clear" email pages my team5 votes
Thanks for the idea! This is actually similar to the “Notify on Check Status Change” idea. Basically, send different people different things under different conditions.
We are currently collecting use cases for a reworked notification system. This is a good idea to consider.
Either with a configuration template or a bulk change, users should be able to save a set of excluded files and re-use that set on multiple Real Browser checks.
Bonus points if users can import a set of domains or file names to exclude instead of using the + Add Excluded File builder.4 votes
Make sense. Essentially we need better support across the board for bulk changing more advanced features of our checks
Sometimes users may have many URLs for Uptime checks that they'd like to create in bulk with the same settings. We should make it easy to import or bulk create uptime checks based on URLs.0 votes
Makes total sense. There is another request for automatically creating uptime checks from a list of servers/services pulled from AWS. These are related in that doing one gives us significant progress in the other
Extract custom data/metrics from a run (Was: Extract data from HTTP response headers and/or the response body)
There should be a way to extract data from HTTP response headers and/or the response body for use as an additional "dimension" for performance/reporting. E.g.: for each response, extract and store the X-Server-ID header from the response. We should then be able to filter and/or report on that field in performance charts and reports.
So then, i.e. on the performance history graph, I should be able to see each value of the X-Server-ID as a different color dot, etc. Or at the very least select which value I'd like to plot individual just like the "Locations" drop down allows.10 votes
Re-investigating this as part of our support for Single Page App’s and custom user timings/variables
It would be nice if we could add some more locations from these big East Coast cities.1 vote
These two locations are on our radar for when we expand our monitoring network locations.
