  1. Notifications: Alert Email Templates Per User or Group

    Currently, we can create a new an Alert email template per Check. I would like the ability to have templates per User or Group for notifications. This would allow "humans" to still get pretty email alerts, but also lighter alerts to other alerts contacts that may be machines, hence, we can script and scrap the alert.

    100% agree Chris. Thank you for sharing this idea and use case.

    We are revamping our notification system, including how templates can work, and are currently collecting use cases. This is something we should consider while doing this work.

    We support this currently via the “Bulk Change” feature in the app, allowing you to mute/unmute and pause/unpause any checks you like.

    However, only group admin users can see that option, and I like the idea of having it inline as an option with the table you are using.

  3. UI: Add numbering column to Check Tables landing

    Since the system/contracts are based on # of allowed checks, add a count column on the landing page. Otherwise you have to manually count them. Example: http://prntscr.com/8p76bs

  4. Change status report time metric to milliseconds

    Current status pages show average times in seconds. This is a very coarse metric and could be more useful reported as milliseconds. Can you please allow for it to be customized, or simply changed to milliseconds? The distance between 3s and 4s is quite a lot, and seeing specific numbers would be useful.

  5. Add Webhook as escalations option

    We currently have our RBC's setup to Notify through a Webhook (HipChat). It would be great if we could setup a second Webhook in Escalations. This way we'd could configure all escalations via OpsGenie.

    Totally agree. We are reviewing use cases to define the success criteria for a complete rework of the notification system. One of those being allowing the to both notify and escalate to different webhooks

  6. New Locations: add testing nodes in Canada

    For clients that have a large presence in Canada, it's important to monitor the performance of the site north of the border

    Thanks for the input. We are always evaluating new locations to add, and the idea exchange is a great way for our customers to tell us and vote for new locations to we can understand the priority.

  8. Email Reports: Column Sort order control of emailed reports.

    We would like to have sort order control of reports sent via email. In particular we would set and save a reports sort order on "Max Response Time" column Largest to Smallest so each report will be received sorted in this manner.

  9. Increase reporting granularity

    Current granularity of Rigor reporting allows for months, weeks, or days. Can you please increase granularity to allow for grouping by hours and minutes?

    Particular use case is to report on error counts across multiple checks spanning a small time frame such as a couple of hours or minutes

    We are reviewing use cases for our custom reports now, and I can how more specific time granularity would be helpful, especially when you want to focus on, or exclude, a specific time period of trouble.

  10. Provide the ability to ignore a step if it Fails in Real Browser Check

    Sometimes our sites target different content based on GEO IP. I'd like to have an option to Ignore a Step in the Real Browser check if the Step fails. This way I don't have to have multiple custom checks for the same site that may display different content.

  11. RBC: Allow custom performance measurements based on element/request

    Allow custom performance measurements based on element/request. This would allow measuring page load up until different points. This could be useful to see certain performance across all runs.

    Our solution to this will be to support the W3C custom user timings. So you can drop pins and take measurements of basically anything. We also need to do this to support Single Page Apps. We are currently in the planning phase.

  12. Degraded state

    We would like the ability to have a max response time, which is available now but with a Mid response time, meaning if the page fails to load by the MID time then Yellow Exclamation point as long as the Max load is not reached. If mid and max are both reached then Red X icon. I made a mock up picture of what it might look like while configuring the monitor. Mel... has the mock up gif.

    Great idea. And I like the idea of separating “This check run failed” vs “This check run didn’t met our criteria” as some kind of warning instead. Looking into how to implement this

  13. UI:Allow custom dashboards as landing pages

    One of my stakeholders asked if he could see his particular sites when logging in. I told him to bookmark the relevant status page. It would be great if I could designate a "landing page" for his account that would display upon login.

  14. Report on checks with same error type

    Right now Rigor makes it easy to report on the number of errors across checks. It would be great if we could also see all checks with a similar error type, e.g. "page load exceeded 60 seconds" or "element not found", over time.

  15. Include response time monitor threshold value in email alerts

    When a check fails because it exceeded the set response time monitor threshold, we should show the response time threshold and the response time of the check in the email alert details.

  16. Report on individual resource performance across multiple checks

    To better understand how a resource performs, we should allow reporting on individual resource timings across checks in an account.

    Example use case:
    Benchmarking ad load times for the same set of ads across a number of sites.

    Exposing the HAR via an API is how the Rigor Monitoring → Rigor Optimization integration works. We can work to make this public for our users

  18. Allow users to implement tracking code on public status pages

    At the moment we don't track unique visitors to public status pages or display that data to our users. We should give users the option to implement their own tracking scripts on public status pages, in addition to using custom styling.
